The iVIS HF21 model from Canon is a full-1080 HD camcorder that records in the AVCHD standard.
The camera features a 3.31 megapixel CMOS sensor which records in 1920x1080 resolution.
Its internal hard drive is noteably larger than its predecessor the HF11, at 120GB.

The camera can also record to SD and SDHC memory cards. Files are encoded in the MPEG-4 AVC/H.264
High Profile format. Five different quality modes are available: 24Mbps MXP (3 hours) to 5Mbps LP (12 hours).
The camera is powered by Canon's DIGIC DV II engine, has a 12x optical zoom and a 40x digital zoom,
and a 2.7" LCD screen.
The Canon iVIS HF21 has 15x zoom and capability for full HD video. It has underwater and floating modes.
The Canon iVIS HF21 has 64 GB on internal memory and an external SDHC slot. It can record over 5 hours
of full HD quality video on it's internal memory. It uses Canon's DIGIC DV III GPU, which is a x32 ARM
processor with support for 3rd party firmware upgrades. The Canon iVIS HF21 image stabilization,
face recognition (for up to 9 faces, this is built into the GPU), and a 2.7" LCD screen. It has a USB port,
AV port, sound and microphone ports, and an HDMI port.
